Alejandro Posada is an artist in the medium of oil painting. His interest in fine arts began when he attended Escuela de Bellas Artes in his home town of Pereira, Colombia. There he learned techniques for oil painting and sketching that would help him to pursue his passion in the art world for years to come.
Alejandro specializes in original landscapes, seascapes, abstracts, and modern oil paintings. Commissioned paintings are welcomed by Alejandro as well. He has great appreciation for such artists as Fernando Vignoli, Wassily Kandinsky, Esteban Vicente and Edward Hopper to name just a few.
Since 1998, Alejandro has been living and working in the Hamptons NY and has exhibited his paintings in some of the local galleries. Solar in East Hampton, Guild Hall in East Hampton, and Southampton Cultural Center. He has also enjoyed success overseas with a group show in Basel (Switzerland) and his first solo exhibiton at Coin 12 in Burgos, Spain in 2007.
In December 2010 Alejandro travels to Mexico for his first solo exhibition in this country.
Alejandro's work is currently being displayed at "El Rincon De Los Sentidos" in the city of Morelia
